The Defacto Visa is for foreign students who are in a relationship with a perminent resident or an Australian citizen. You must have lived together for 1-year to qualify for visa approval. MTT provides free application and processing services. The application takes approximately 72-days to complete.
In order to apply for the Defacto Visa you must provide the following documents:
- Education certificates
- Passport
- Birth certificate
- Medical certificate
- Confirmed Overseas Enrolment (COE) from a university or college
- Bank statement
- House registration
- Application form/fee for Department of Immigration and Multicultural Affairs (DIMA)
- Police clearance
- Joint bank account
- Proof of living together for 1-year or more
- Shared living expenses (rent, electricity, water, phone, etc)
